Dr. Carl Rebhun is a board-certified ophthalmologist, specializing in Oculofacial Plastic Surgery. His extensive training has helped him to establish his reputation as a highly skillful surgeon who utilizes the latest and most innovative techniques, to obtain exceptional, natural looking results. This approach, along with a compassionate bedside manner and dedication to helping others, has led Dr. Rebhun to help his patients achieve their medical and cosmetic goals through both surgical and non-surgical procedures.
Specializing in both medical and cosmetic surgery of the face, Dr. Rebhun’s surgical expertise includes functional and cosmetic procedures of the lids, brows and face, as well as reconstructive surgery following Mohs surgery. Additionally, he performs a wide array of non-surgical procedures for facial rejuvenation, such as injectables, including facial fillers and Botox® and other anti-aging treatments.
Dr. Rebhun is a native of New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate degree in neuroscience at Vanderbilt University, where he graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, one of the most prestigious honor societies in the United States. While there, he was the vice president of the Vanderbilt Premedical Society where he organized and led medical service trips to Central America to help those in need. He went on to receive his medical degree from Tufts School of Medicine, graduating with honors in research. During his time at Tufts, Dr. Rebhun immersed himself in a yearlong medical research project developing and evaluating innovative ophthalmic imaging techniques to improve diagnosis and treatment plans of various ophthalmic conditions, earning him a grant to present at the Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology annual symposium.
Following medical school, Dr. Rebhun went on to complete his medical internship in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City before moving on to complete his Ophthalmology residency at New York University, where he was selected as chief resident in his senior year. After residency, Dr. Rebhun trained with some of the most world renowned Oculofacial plastic surgeons during a highly competitive ASOPRS-approved two-year fellowship program at Eyesthetica and University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
When not working, Dr. Rebhun enjoys playing golf, snowboarding, traveling, cooking, exploring new restaurants, cheering on his Philadelphia sports teams and spending time with his wife and daughter.
